“VACATION” VINYL PRE-ORDER / #AMR15
Hey everyone! So our pre-order for Vacation has been up for about two weeks and the response has exceeded our wildest expectations. There’s not much to say besides THANKS SO MUCH EVERYBODY for all the support, and for enabling us to be a band that never has to send out demos to bigger labels only to get rejected. And that never has to hear from a label “That’s not good enough, write more hooks.” We’re very lucky to be able to make music and have people listen to it, and we’re also lucky to (begrudgingly) press records and have people buy them. Thanks so much.
IF YOU HAVEN’T PRE-ORDERED YET, and you’re also a vinyl collector nerd, you should know that our first pressing is starting to dwindle. Here’s some information about the variants:
250 hot pink / orange haze (we are very low on these, and I don’t expect those remaining to last through the weekend.)
350 seafoam / transparent seafoam split
400 light blue / teal splatter
If you’re trying to get the rare pressings, jump on in and do it! Click this paragraph!

Now, the past weekend was spent at Asian Man Records 15th Anniversary Fest in San Francisco. Those of you who were there know what an incredibly positive and wonderful time it was. It was a very rare occurrence where all of the bad drunks in the room were lighthearted, all the sensitive PC folks were more forgiving than usual, all the high strung nerds were okay with relaxing and going with the flow (I am a member of all three of the groups mentioned.) I got to see bands I never thought I’d see like The Broadways, Slow Gherkin and The Chinkees… shit, I got to watch Alkaline Trio drunkenly encore with a NoMeansNo cover.
We are so proud to be amongst the group of people who were asked to participate in this. From our friends in San Jose who are making some of the most interesting and exciting indie rock that’s happening right now, to our buddies from Asian Man tour three years ago who still amaze us with their performances, to the bands that saved me from Korn and Limp Bizkit as a teenager, to our pals from east coast who somehow played the same lottery numbers as us - it was a fitting tribute to the amazing things music can mean when you don’t bog it down in a bunch of bullshit. Thanks, Mike for making it happen and for never listening to our records and saying “um, I think you need a bridge in this song.”
We’re not worthy! we’re not worthy!
